This vintage coin from the Kingdom of Egypt dates to 1938 (1357 AH) during the reign of King Farouk. The coin is denominated 2 Milliem, a small bronze denomination used in everyday transactions in Egypt during the early 20th century. The reverse side displays the Arabic inscription (The Egyptian Kingdom) with the denomination 2 Milliem and the date 1938 / 1357 AH. The opposite side features traditional Arabic calligraphy used on Egyptian coinage of the period. Coins from the Kingdom of Egypt represent an important historical period before the Egyptian republic was established in 1953.
